The funeral for Alfred O. "Al" Jantz, Jr., 73, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dwayne Schroeder will officiate. Burial will be in Karoma Cemetery in Goltry, Oklahoma. He was born January 10th, 1926, at Meno, Oklahoma to Alfred and Lillie (Nichols) Jantz and died Sunday, October 10th, 1999 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid, Oklahoma. He was raised near Goltry and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. In May of 1949, he married Sylvia M.King. In December of 1968, he married Helen Schmidt. He was a retired transportation operator and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and VFW. Suriving are his wife, Helen: four sons: D. J. of Dallas, Texas; Dale of Elk City, Oklahoma; Dennis of Columbus, Georgia; and David of Woodward, Oklahoma; three daughters: Sheila Pettitt of Sayre, Oklahoma; Phylis Pugh of Georgetown, Texas; and Linda Monroe of Oklahoma City; three sisters: Delaine Peil of Darrouzett, Texas; Tinky Cross of Arnett, Oklahoma; and Sissy Ehrlich of Levenworth, Kansas; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson. Memorials may be made through the funeral home or church to Venezuela Missions.
