HAFFNER, WILBUR JAMES (1925-1997)
Wilbur James Haffner passed away in Modesto of natural causes on October 19, 1997. 71 year of age, Mr. Haffner was a resident of Modesto for 32 years. Native of Hitchcock, Oklahoma. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in WW-II from 1942-1945 and retired from Pacific-Bell after 32 years. Survived by 3 daughters: Kathy Johnson, Dawnell Swindle, and Diana Devine, all of Modesto, and 2 sons: Kraig Haffner of Modesto and Keith Haffner of Riverbank. Also survived by a brother, Ezra Haffner of Lodi, 7 grand-children and 1 great-grandchild. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, at Salas Brothers Chapel in Modesto. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel is Modesto in charge of arrangements.
