McPHERSON - Hannah C. Haas, 88, died January 9th, 1998, at the Memorial Hospital, McPherson, Kansas. She was born January 27, 1909 at Tampa, Kansas, the daughter of Andrew and Maria (Miller) Schultz. A McPherson resident since 1994, moving from Hillsboro, Kansas, she was a homemaker and taught school for a few years in a one-room country school near Tampa, Kansas. She was a member for St. John's Lutheran Church, Tampa, Kansas. On April 13th, 1929, she married Harvey E. Haas at Newton, Kansas. He died October 18th, 1991. Survivors include: a daughter, Gerry Williamson of Wichita, Kansas; a brother: Dr. Rufus Schultz of Liberal, Kansas; a sister: Sophia Haas of Salina, Kansas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 13 of her siblings. Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home Chapel, McPherson, Kansas with the Rev. Richard Riemer presiding. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Tampa, Kansas. Memorials may be sent to Memorial Hospital Health Care Foundation in care of the funeral home.
