HEFFEL, AMELIA "MOLLIE" (NUSZ) 1894-1982
DORRANCE - Mrs. Amelia "Mollie" Heffel, 83, died Wednesday, November 24th, 1982 at the Russell Kare Center. She was born April 16th, 1894, at Dobrinka, Russia, the daughter of George Frederick and Catherine Elizabeth Nusz, and came to the United States in 1909. She married Henry Heffel in June 1912, at Dorrance, Kansas. She lived in and around Dorrance most of her life, rearing her family there. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969; a son, William; a daughter, Pauline Cooper; and a granddaughter, Dale Cooper. She is survived by two sons: LeRoy of Ventura, California; and Elmo of Wilimington, California; one sister, Julia Widener of Louisburg, Kansas; one brother, David J. Nusz of Layton, Utah; a daughter-in-law Mrs. William Heffel; grandchildren: Diana Lieberkneckt, Kent Cooper, Donnna Bogner, Carl Cooper, James Heffel; and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Stiles Mortuary Chapel, Wilson, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 27th, 1982. Rev. John Kejr will officiate. Interment will be in the Dorrance City Cemetery. Friends may call at Stiles Mortuary Chapel after 7:00 p.m. today. As printed in the Dorrance, Kansas Newspaper, November 26, 1982.
