FUNERAL NOTICE - GEIS, HOWARD T. 1908-1969
Funeral services for Howard T. Geis were Saturday morning at the First Christian Church in Stillwater. He died July 2nd, 1969 at his home there. Burial was at Fairlawn Cemetery, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Geis was born at Okeene, November 3rd, 1908, son of Frank and Elizabeth Geis. He was graduated from the Okeene schools and was employed at the Okeene Record during high school and for two years following. He was a graduate of the O.U. School of Journalism, and was a former employee of the Norman Transcript. He moved to Stillwater in 1948 where he was president and manager of Frontier Printers. He was a member of the First Christian Church, a past president of Kiwanis and the Toastmaster Club. He is survived by his wife of the home, the former Isabelle Lindsay of Okeene, whom he married in 1935 in Caldwell, Kansas; a son, Tom and a daughter Mrs. Susan Durkee, both of Houston, Texas; four brothers: Harry of Enid, Oklahoma; Jake and William of Okeene, Oklahoma; and Elmer of Los Angeles, California; a sister, Mrs. Augusta Hauskin of Los Angeles, California and one grandchild.
