Services were held at 2 P.M. Thursday (today) in the Mennonite Brethren Church for Alex Dout, 69, who died Monday in the Okeene Hospital after a sudden illness. Rev. E. C. Ollenburger will officiate with burial in the Ebenfeld Cemetery, Okeene. Dout was born in Russia and had lived in the Okeene community for the past 47 years. He was active in farming until his retirement in 1961. Survivors include his widow, Ruby of the home; 4 daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Loewen, of Norwalk, California; Mrs. Selma Massey of Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. Rosalie Suderman of McClain, Texas; and Mrs. Martha Weber of Okeene, Oklahoma; 3 sons: Alvin of Amarillo, Texas; George and Danny of Okeene, Oklahoma; 2 sisters: Mrs. Mollie Barnhardt of Elmo, Kansas, and Mrs. Esther Alt of Herington, Kansas; 14 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
