IN MEMORY OF ELLA MAE (ALBIN) CORDELL 1886-1981
Ella Mae Cordell was born February 6th, 1886 at Havensville, Kansas to Robert and Sarah Ann (Heath) Albin and died Monday, May 11th, 1981 in Watonga, Oklahoma at age 95. Along with her two children by former marriages, Mrs. Cordell homesteaded in Lincoln County, Colorado where she met Ottawa Allen Cordell whom she married December 31st, 1918. They lived in the Watonga area after 1920, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Christian Church and the Rebekah Lodge. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughters Letha Cordell and Alice Thrasher. Survivors include three sons: Carl Tucker of Greeley, Colorado; and Kenneth and George Cordell, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Lillie Nusz of Oklahoma City, a step-son, Harley Cordell of Madison, Tennessee; two step-daughters, Alma Rose of Kelso, Washington, and Mildred Killer of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Contributions in Mrs. Cordell's memory may be made to the Watonga First Christian Church of the American Heart Association. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 14th, 1981 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Christian Church in Watonga with Bob Davis officiating. Rites were concluded in the Watonga I.O.O.F.
