OKEENE - Richard G. Bills, 61, the National Accounts Manager for the Alternate Fuel Division of Ford Motor Company passed away Sunday, October 28, 2001 in Forth Worth, Texas. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 2, 2001 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel of Fort Worth, with burial at Laurel Land Memorial Park. Richard grew up in Okeene, Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Mary Hardin Baylor University in Belton, Texas. He joined the U.S. Army in 1958 and retired as a decorated veteran of the Vietnam Conflict in 1978. He and his wife Karen of 40 years, moved to Fort Worth where the City of Fort Worth employed him as the Superintendent of Equipment Services. Richard was also a former Chapter Chair of the Southwest Chapter of the National Fleet Administrators. He was a friend to everyone he met. Survivors are his wife, Karen Bills; sons Mike and Carla Bills of Tinley Park, Illinois, and Mark and Jeanne Bills of Hurst, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley, Christina, Brandon, Justin, Brittany, and Randall; brother, Gregory Bills of Pocatello, Idaho; mother-in-law Doris Barns; brother-in-law, Bill and Rita Karbs; sister-in-law, Patsy and Kenny Meier and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice in the name of Richard Bills. As printed in the "OKEENE RECORD" Thursday
