Pauline D. Batthauer, 85, 3705 Asbury Drive, died July 15, 1992 at Ralph Thorne Health Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born February 21, 1907, at Marion, Kansas, the daughter of Martin and Kathrine E. (Schlotthauer) Vogel. A resident of Hutchinson since 1929, moving from Marion, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1929, the Delores Scott Circle, the Queen Esther Sunday school class and the chancel choir, all at Hutchinson, Kansas. On October 16, 1928, she married Alex Batthauer at Marion, Kansas. He died December 18, 1987. Survivors include: a son, Byron of Strongsville, Ohio; two brothers: Roy Vogel and Paul Vogel, both of Marion, Kansas; three sisters: Roma Ireland of Marion, Kansas; Irene Suderman of Hillsboro, Kansas; and Viola Richmond of Phoenix, Arizona; and two grandchildren. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, Kansas with the Rev. Stanley E. Cover presiding. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, 300 East 30th. Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Marion Cemetery, Marion, Kansas, with the Rev.
