Services were held Tuesday, May 26th, 1981 at the Watonga Christian Church for James F. Beneda. He was born Novmeber 9th, 1948 to Frank and Virginia (Huff) Beneda and died Sunday, May 24th, 1981 at age 32. Beneda graduated from Watonga High School in 1967 and received a degree in business administration at Johnson's In Wales College, Providence, Rhode Island. He served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972 in the areas of the Mediteranean, Scandinavia, the North Sea, and Europe and was stationed at Quonset Point, R. I. With an E-5 rank. In civilian life he had been service advisor for Sears since 1972 and was a member of the Watonga Christian church and of the Lhasa Apso Club, where he served as a breeder and handler for two years. He married Mary Ann Felice on December 5th, 1970, in West Warwick, Rhode Island. He was preceded in death by an infant brother and by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Riley Huff and James Beneda. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, and his children, James Michael and Jill Marie, all of Coventry, Rhode Island; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Beneda of Hitchcock, Oklahoma; a brother, Stephen Beneda of Watonga, Oklahoma; a sister, Ruth Riddles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his grandmother, Elsie Beneda of Watonga. Bob Davis, pastor of the church, officiated at the rites and services were conducted at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Watonga, Oklahoma with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
