OKEENE - The funeral for Esther Becker, 73, will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. John's United Church of Christ in Okeene. The Rev. Van Herd will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Wilkinson Mortuary. She was born August 24, 1920, near Okeene to Benjamin and Mollie Koch Nusz and died Thursday, June 16, 1994 in Oklahoma City. She attended Roosevelt Country School through the Eighth Grade, then attended Okeene High School. She was employed as a custodian at the First National Bank for 45 years. She also worked at the Okeene Hospital and Clinic for 25 years and the school for several years. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ and the Senior Citizen Club. Surviving are one daughter, Doris Koehn of Oklahoma City; two sons: Jay Lee and Roger Becker, both of Okeene; one brother, Richard Nusz of Oklahoma City; one sister, Jaunita Mariner of Enid; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Okeene Hospital or to the church.
