TICE

Graveside services for Edward Crue TICE, 71, of Stilwell, were held November 28, 1995 at Ewing Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Don CRITTENDON officiating. Interment was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
He was born on April 14, 1924 in Polk County, Arkansas, to George Daniel TICE and Lucy GENTRY TICE, and he died November 22 at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mr. TICE was a sheetrocker. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Nellie Mae TICE.
He is survived by: one daughter, Linda HOLLEY of Rocklin, California; one grandson, John CARVER, Rocklin, California; three sisters, Mary PATTERSON, Duncan, Arizona; Maudie BELL, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and Dorothy DERAMUS, Cherry Hill, Arkansas; two brothers, George Henry TICE, Merryville, California; Lester TICE of Stilwell; and several nieces and nephews.

CHUNESTUDY

Funeral services for Lee CHUNESTUDY, 88, of Bunch, were held November 27, 1995, at the Dry Creek Community Church with Reverends Thomas STILL and Charlie STILL officiating. Interment followed in the Bolyn Cemetery under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Mr. CHUNESTUDY was born December 12, 1906, in Delaware County, Oklahoma, the son of Joe and Mollie SPANIARD CHUNESTUDY, and he died November 23, 1995 at the Stilwell Memorial Hospital. He was a longtime resident and farmer in Cherokee County. He was married to Fanny GLORY, who preceded him in death on May 3, 1983. He was also preceded in death by four children: John E. BRACKETT and Andy STUDIE, both of Collinsville, Robert STUDIE, Bunch, and Cleo STUDIE HOLMES of Welling.
His survivors include: three children, Lillian HOLMES, Charlie Lee STUDIE, and Ray STUDIE, all of Bunch; one brother, Joe CHUNESTUDY of Barber; 32 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren and four great great great grandchildren.

HUMMINGBIRD

Betty Louise HUMMINGBIRD, born February 11, 1931 at Rocky Mountain, Adair Co., Oklahoma, the daughter of Jim and Jensie BENDABOUT HUMMINGBIRD, died November 22, 1995 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa at the age of 64.
Mrs. HUMMINGBIRD was reared in the Rocky Mountain area and attended Adair County schools. She was a homemaker and member of the First Indian Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; two sisters; one uncle; two daughters, Diane and Dottie HUMMINGBIRD; and two grandchildren, Randy SHORES Jr, and Steven K. WARD.
Her survivors include: four daughters, Nellie RODRIQUEZ, Tahlequah, Vera LACKEY, Garland, Texas, Ruby SHORES, Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Peggy FARAR, Hulbert, Oklahoma; two sons, Tommy and Stony PACK, both of Tahlequah; one brother, Charlie HUMMINGBIRD, Stilwell; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held November 27 at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverends Joe HICKS and Rex VANN officiating. Interment followed in the Echota Cemetery.

WORKMAN

Funeral services for Robert Lee WORKMAN Jr., 64, of Tahlequah, were to be held Wednesday, November 29, 1995 at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Rev. Ron RICE officiating. Interment was to follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery.
Mr. WORKMAN was born August 13, 1931, at Stilwell, the son of Robert L. and Nannie Eller COLLINS WORKMAN, and he died November 26, 1995 at his home near Tahlequah.
He was a retired businessman and had resided in the Tahlequah area most of his life.
Mr. WORKMAN was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, James Aubrey WORKMAN and Thomas William WORKMAN; and one sister, Lena Pearl VANDERHEIDEN.
Survivors include; one son, Charles WORKMAN, Tahlequah; one daughter, Robbie CASEY, Tahlequah; four granddaughters; one grandson; four step grandchildren; and two sisters, Rena THOMAS and Mildred GUINN, both of Stilwell.

GRAYSON

John GRAYSON was born July 26, 1913 in Stilwell, Oklahoma, and died on November 26, 1995 at his home in Stilwell. He was the son of Dick and Eliza BEAVER GRAYSON.
Mr. GRAYSON was retired from the City of Tulsa Water Department where he worked for 25 years. He was a member of Beaver Baptist Church, and had been a Sunday School superintendent for Beaver and Log Cabin churches. John was a past president of the Greasy School Board.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Pauline, in 1992; one son, Johnson; one brother, William GRAYSON; and three infant children.
He is survived by: four sons, Alex GRAYSON, Joe GRAYSON, Tom GRAYSON, and John GRAYSON Jr., all of Stilwell; five daughters Louise TURTLE, Sarah BURRIS, Marilyn COCHRAN, and Dora MORGAN, all of Stilwell, and Liz GUTHRIE, Tulsa, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews.
Services were to be held Wednesday, November 29 at 2 p.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Mike MCCONELL and George POLECAT officiating. Interment was to be in the Beaver Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

STEINSIEK

C.W. "Corkey" STEINSIEK was born November 10, 1930 to Reeves and Esther STEINSIEK, and died November 20, 1995 at the age of 65.
Mr. STEINSIEK was retired from Amoco Oil Co. He then opened an antique clock shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel STEINSIEK, his daughter, Cheryl CRANE and husband Brett, son David STEINSIEK and wife Lynn, one step daughter and her husband, and two stepsons and their wives, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and by one brother, J.R. STEINSIEK and wife Mary.
Graveside services were held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 22 with Rev. Dale RULE officiating. Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa.

FLEETWOOD

Henry FLEETWOOD, son of Eljerry and Sarah Margaret COTTNER FLEETWOOD, was born May 3, 1901, in Long, Oklahoma [Indian Territory], and died on November 26, 1995 at Tahlequah, Oklahoma, at the age of 94.
Mr. FLEETWOOD was retired and had been a longtime resident of Stilwell.
Survivors include: one brother, Orville BURROUGH, Mountainburg, Arkansas; four nieces, Lorral LANE of Stilwell, Fay COYNE, Sacramento, California, Sue KUKKOLA, Sacramento, Jean MARTINEZ, Chico, California; one nephew, Beachie BURROUGH, Alabama; and two great nephews, Anthony HUGGINS and Kelly LONG, both of Stilwell.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 30 at 2 p.m. at the Stilwell City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

OWENS

Virgil OWENS, 90, of Stilwell, was born on December 11, 1904, to William and Melinda GRAY OWENS, and died November 24, 1995 at Stilwell Nursing Home.
Mr. OWENS was a retired laborer and was a Protestant.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Private services were held November 25 at Reece Cemetery in Peavine under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
His surviving nieces and nephews include: Bob WORTH, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, George WORTH, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dan WORTH, Hayward, California, David WORTH, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Darrell WORTH of Spokane, Washington, Marilyn DOHERTY, Coweta, Oklahoma, Shirley CARD, Sidney, Oklahoma, Kenneth WORTH, Tuttle, Oklahoma, and Roy WORTH, Watts, Oklahoma.

KELLEY

Funeral services for Maynard Lee KELLEY, 55, of Watts, were held November 25, 1995 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ralph CANNON officiating. Interment was in the New Hope Cemetery at Chance. Mr. KELLEY was born on July 24, 1940, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Lee KELLEY and Lillian NIBLACK KELLEY. He died November 22, in Grove, Oklahoma.
He was the owner of Chewey Grocery Store and attended Illinois River Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Lonnie KELLEY.
He is survived by: his mother, Lillian KELLEY of Westville; one son, Kenneth KELLEY of Chewey; two daughters, Pam GARR, Westville, and Rebecca WILSON, Honey Hill; three brothers, Chester KELLEY of Watts, Roger KELLEY, Kalama, Washington, and Bobby KELLEY, Westville; one sister, Patricia HOLTZE, Battle Ground, Washington; and four grandchildren.

CARLSON

Chrystine CARLSON, daughter of George and Vera WILLIAMS SHANNON, was born on October 26, 1905, in Watts, Oklahoma [Indian Territory], and died November 25, 1995 in St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 90.
Chrystine was a resident of Oklahoma City and a retired bank teller.
She married Albert CARLSON on June 22, 1934 and he preceded her in death in May of 1976. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Also preceding her in death were: her parents; one sister, Erma BULLETT; and one brother, Thomas Knox SHANNON.
She is survived by: one brother, George E. SHANNON of Collinsville, Oklahoma; five nephews, Arthur SHANNON, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Frank SHANNON, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Thomas SHANNON, Hulbert, Oklahoma, George BULLETT, Rancho Santa Fe, California, and Don CARLSON, Tulsa, Oklahoma; one niece, Linda SHULTS, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and two cousins, Marianna HALLFORD and Alma Mae HALL, both of Stilwell.
Services were held November 28 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Jack STEELE officiating. interment followed in the Stilwell City cemetery.
