Funeral service and burial were held Tuesday afternoon at the Chuculate cemetery for Joe ADAIR, 32-year-old Stilwell ice company worker, who was killed Friday night in a highway accident about 16 miles south of Stilwell, just across the Adair-Sequoyah county line. Tommy THOMPSON officiated at the service and the Roberts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
A native of Stilwell, Mr. ADAIR was born here on October 5, 1923.
He was not married but is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary ADAIR, of Stilwell; three sisters, Mrs. Sadie SPRINGWATER of Stilwell, Mrs. Virginia HODGE of Tulsa, and Mrs. Sue SAUL of Odessa, Texas; and two brothers, Samuel of Stilwell and Billy Gene, who presently is serving in the U.S. Navy.
