Lucille Warren passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 92. She and her twin sister, Louise, were born March 20, 1922 to Ike and Mae (Farmer) Quinton in their home located east of Checotah, Oklahoma. Lucille grew up with her family in the Texanna community where she attended grade school. She fished and played on the banks of the Texanna branch with her brothers and sisters. Lucille attended high school in Eufaula, Oklahoma. She married John Ed Warren on February 10, 1941 in Eufaula. They lived in numerous states and Canada when John followed work in the oil drilling industry. In the early 1960's, they returned to live in Eufaula where John and Lucille established a lake front development. They built and operated one of the first stores and restaurants on Lake Eufaula. After John's death, Lucille started a child care service in her home where she formed a close relationship with many parents and children.
Lucille held her family near and dear to her heart.
She was loved by many and will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Ed; her brothers, John Quinton and Clint Quinton; her sisters, Louise Palmer and Neva Meckel.
Lucille is survived by her sons, Ike Warren of Eufaula, Robert Warren and wife Phyllis of Muskogee, John Warren and wife Kim of Gladewater, TX; sister, Janice Olzawski of Muskogee, brothers, Sam Quinton, of Muskogee, Bill Quinton of Weleetka; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; other family members and friends.
Funeral services honoring Lucille's life will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at Lindsey Chapel in Texanna, Oklahoma with Pastor Tim Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Triplett Cemetery in Texanna with grandsons Todd Warren, John D. Warren Jr, great grandson, Kyle Warren, nephews John Quinton, Tom Palmer, and Rick Olzawski serving as pallbearers.
