John David Stafford passed away March 26, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born December 12, 1970 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Ronald Gene and Teresa Ruth Helms Stafford.

John had a passion for football and played both offense and defense for Moore Lions High School football team. John received his Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership in 2003 and went on to pursue careers in Grant Management. He worked with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation funding for wildlife programs; improving resources for hunters & fishermen in the State of Oklahoma and with the Association of American Indian Physician, he helped to attain funding for Indian healthcare programs across the nation; partnering with the Center for Disease Control (CDC.)

John was baptized in the Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but what he was most proud of was when his children were born.

His father, Ronald Stafford, precedes John in death.

He is survived by his wife Heather Stafford; children Mazie Jo Stafford, Madeline Grace Stafford, John Elias Stafford; mother Teresa Stafford; brother Scott and Amanda Stafford; niece Loda Stafford; nephew Bryson Stafford, numerous aunts, cousins and friends who will miss him greatly.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, from 1 pm to 5 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

A graveside service will b 12 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Lenna Cemetery, Lenna, Oklahoma. We are adhering to the government proclamation of no public gathering of 10 or more.
