Pauline Athlie Carl Smith, 80, of Eufaula died at her home Tuesday, September 10, 1996.

Services were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Merritt Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Charlie Bailey officiating.

Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Merritt Funeral Service of Eufaula.

Mrs. Smith was born Friday, May 12, 1916 to Clifford and Gertrude Miller Carl in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.

She was a member of the Church of Christ and a homemaker.

She was married to Woodrow Wilson Smith on April 11, 1932 at Sayre, Oklahoma. To this marriage seven children were born, four boys and three girls.

She and Woodrow celebrated 64 years of marriage April 11, 1996.

She was a wonderful mother and wife. She was a preacher's wife most of her married life as she and Woodrow have been members of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Woodrow of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Lewis, and Billie Smith of Boise, Idaho; Monty Clevon and Kay Smith of Amarillo, Texas; Jimmie Wayne and Karen Smith of Amarillo, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gailya Ann Davis of Eufaula; Lettie Paulette and David Rackley of Eufaula; Linda Faye and Wayne McCaig of Bixby; seventeen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray; her parents; and a son-in-law, L. C. Davis.
