Inez Guinn, 85, of Onapa, passed away at her home on January 8, 2006.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the Onapa Baptist Church officiated by Brother Richard Ford.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Checotah.

Inez was born Feb. 27, 1927 in Onapa, to R. W. and Mable (Carr) Herron. She was united in marriage to C. L. (Sonny) Guinn, Sr., Feb. 6, 1946 at Independence, Kansas. She was a member of the Onapa Baptist Church, one of the founders of the Checotah Indian Community, an avid homemaker, known for her pies also her chicken & dumplings.

She is survived by two sons; C. L. (Sonny) Guinn, Jr. of Eufaula, James L. Guinn & his wife Laura of Muskogee, one daughter, Barbara Ridley of Muskogee, one brother, R. W. Herron of Tulsa, three sisters; Addie Williams of Brush Hill, Bonnie Martin of Tahlequah & Frances Pemberton of Onapa, four grandchildren & nine great-grandchildren, a very special friend, Helen Matthews of Checotah and a host of relatives & friends including, St. Francis Hospice, of Tulsa & Muskogee, Anna, Lisa, Fred & other staff members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband & one brother, David (Sonny) Herron.

Casketbearers for the services will be John & Jacob Guinn, Dakota & Weston Hall, Traycer Ridley and George Ridley, Jr.
