Leon Greb, 88, of Warner, OK, was born December 15,
1928 at Fort Chaffee, AR, the son of Albert and Alice (Williamson) Greb
and died Friday, November 10, 2017 at McAlester, OK.
For over 30 years, Leon worked as an inspector for the Missouri Pacific
Railroad. After retirement, Leon became a dairy farmer who enjoyed
working with his dairy cattle and other animals. Pastimes included
spending time with his great-granddaughter and checking on his
neighbors.
Survivors include his son, Paul Greb and wife, Kathy, of Keefeton;
son-in-law, Bill Adney; special daughter, Betty Cotner; granddaughters,
Brandy Greb and Sandra Yarbrough-Greb; great-granddaughter, Shelby;
special son, Bo Sample; sisters, Edna Shumway of Fort Smith and Mae
Koerdt of Scranton, AR; brothers, Carl Powell of Harris, AR, Bill Powell
of Hebe Springs, AR, and Dan Powell of Henryetta, OK; sisters, Jackie
Noland of Paducah, KY and Sue Stovall of Paris, AR.
He was preceded in
death by his parents; wife, Maudie; daughter, Paula; brothers, Gene,
Raymond, Johnny, and George.
Services for Leon will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017
at the Keefeton Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Barks and
Reverend Cordell Coppin officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn
Cemetery in Checotah under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home
of Muskogee.
Pallbearers will be George Marshall, Mack Adney, Tyler Adney, Hairl
Adney, Christopher Adney, and Daniel Adney. Honorary pallbearers will be
Bo Sample, Dave Villers, and Hoy Parsons.
