James Edward Gamblin Sr. lovingly known as “The One Ole Spot” was a talented musician, loving husband, father, and grandfather. James passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 in Muskogee, OK at the age of 68.
He was born November 13, 1945 in Checotah to William and Pearl (Applegate) Gamblin where he remained a lifetime resident.
He is survived by; one son: Jimmy Gamblin of Stigler, OK, two daughters: Lora Sides and husband, Bill, of Muskogee, OK, Mary Sides and husband, Billy, of Checotah, OK, Two Sisters: Betty Todd and husband, Franklin, of Checotah, OK, Mary Spirlock and husband, Curtis, of Checotah, OK, One Brother: Bill Gamblin of Redbird, OK, One Sister-in-law: Margie (Cook) Dornan of Arlington, Texas; eight grandchildren: Anthony Gamblin of Stigler, OK, Wesley Gamblin of Stigler, OK, Kylah Watts and husband, Mark, of Stigler, OK, Josh Breshears and wife, Michelle, of McAlester, OK, Larissa Bryant and husband, Dakota, of Stigler, OK, Katie Jo Sides of Checotah, OK Travis Sides and wife, Jasmine, of Stigler, OK Stephanie Sides of Muskogee, OK; five Great Grandchildren. One Sister-in-law: Margie (Cook) Dornan of Arlington, Texas; eight grandchildren: Anthony Gamblin of Stigler, OK, Wesley Gamblin of Stigler, OK, Kylah Watts and husband, Mark, of Stigler, OK, Josh Breshears and wife, Michelle, of McAlester, OK, Larissa Bryant and husband, Dakota, of Stigler, OK, Katie Jo Sides of Checotah, OK Travis Sides and wife, Jasmine, of Stigler, OK Stephanie Sides of Muskogee, OK; five Great Grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his parents William and Pearl Gamblin, his father-in-law Lee Dornan, one brother-in-law Lewis Dornan, and his beautiful, beloved wife of 42 years, Louretta Gamblin.

Ole Spot 10-7 Services will be held on Wednesday August 13, 2014
in Checotah Funeral Service Chapel at 10:00 a.m.
