Ruby Williams was born August 29, 1927, in Centerpoint, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ruben and Lottie (White) Jones. She had lived in the Boswell, OK before moving to the Spencerville & Sawyer area in 1970. She married Mayo Williams on August 7, 1967, in Hugo, OK. Ruby was a homemaker who dearly loved her family. She was a member of the Lakeside Mission Church and Spencerville Community Church. She and Mayo were always fishing or hunting, and she enjoyed going to deer camp every year. Ruby is known for her love of quilting and always talking with folks, especially her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mayo Williams in 1994; two sons, William Emmett Garrison in 1987, and Alfred Eugene Garrison in 1994; five brothers, Cecil, Eric, R.L., Bert, and Clifford Jones.
Ruby is survived by two sons, Ruben Garrison and wife Mary of Glenpool, OK, and David Doyle Garrison and wife, Amber of Longtown, OK; one daughter Ruby Mae Williams and husband Jimmy of Rattan, OK; two brothers, Roy Lee Jones of CA, Gerald Jones of Sawyer, OK; two sisters, Nellie Long of Soper, OK and Bell Day of Boswell, OK; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 28, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Hugo, OK.
