Stuart was born April 26, 1932 in Millerton, Oklahoma, the son of Paul and Avis Ewell Stuart. Buddy married Mildred Hill on May 15, 1958, along with 6 kids. Buddy & Millie were blessed with 2 more children, Tammy Sue & Kimberly Joe. Buddy worked as a truck driver, cattleman, and grocery & feed store owner. Most of all, Buddy loved to garden. He always tried to be first to have tomatoes. He was always in competition with his cousin, Leon Stuart, as to who would have the first & largest tomatoes. You could drive by his home in Millerton & see him in his garden working from his wheel chair. Buddy was an avid Bingo player. He would take vegetables to people at the Bingo Hall, and they would bake him cakes in return. Buddy loved to visit with everyone. He could talk your leg off, and he never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Birdie Joe Gaskey; one son: David Sherrell; two daughters: Lynda Tyler and Kimberly Joe Dagenhardt; and one grandson: Lynn Tyler.
Buddy is survived by his wife: Mildred Stuart of Bristow, OK; children: Tammy & Danny Prestridge of Bristow, OK, Beverly and Timothy Stuart of Valliant, OK, Brenda Sherrell of Noble, OK, Mary & Gary Carpenter of Tulsa, OK, and Larry & Beverly Thompson of Idabel, OK; one brother: Tommy Ivy of Caney, OK; two sisters: Deannie Worthington of Paris, TX, and LuAnn Stuart of Charlotte, NC; as well as eighteen grandkids, 38 great-grandkids, and 3 great-great grandkids.
