R. C. passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2013, in Snowflake, Arizona, at the age of 82. R. C. was born June 1, 1930, in Ringold, OK, the son of Marion Alonzo and Viola (Dixon) Abbott. He resided most of his life in Bakersfield California, however his retirement goal was to move back to Ringold, Oklahoma where he was born. R. C. achieved his dream living in Ringold from 2008 until 2010 until health issues forced him to move closer to his daughter Karen in Arizona.
He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea, and a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. R. C. worked in construction work as a truck driver.
He was married over
50 years to his wife, Alma who preceded him in death in
2007. R. C.' s true passion in life was cat fishing and
was well known for his fish fry's.
R. C. is survived by
daughter, Karen Hicks of Taylor, Arizona.
