Services for Kelly Ann James will be held on Monday, March 16th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John’s Church in Rufe, Oklahoma with Barry Gibson, and Dorothy Vanhorn, officiating, burial will follow at the St. John’s Cemetery.
 
Kelly passed away March 13, 2009, at the age of 36, in Hugo, Oklahoma. Kelly Ann James was born on February 14, 1973 in Talihina, Oklahoma; the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Katherine (Baker) James Sr. She grew up in Rufe, Oklahoma, attended Valliant High School graduating in 1991. She was a star basketball player for the Valliant Bulldogs. After graduating high school she moved to Hugo and made her home. Kelly lived her life as she pleased, to the fullest. She attended school to become a CNA and was able to use those skills to care for her mother in the last days of her life. She worked as a nurse for the Golden Age Home; she was a member of the Hampton Chapel Methodist Church in Spencerville, Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Kelly is survived by one son: Cameron Hare; one daughter: Brittani Hare both of Millerton, Oklahoma; two sisters: Jackie Jennings and husband Willie of Millerton, Oklahoma, Donna Justice of Battiest, Oklahoma; four brothers: Michael James of Arkansas, Mark James and wife Lynn of Rufe, Oklahoma, Andrew James Jr. and wife Juanette of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Patrick James and wife Flora of Ringold, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of cousins; a special friend Tony Jackson of Hugo, Oklahoma.
