Art was born in Mangilao Villiage, Guam to Joseph
Francisco and Urelia Anderson. Art achieved a Bachelor of
Science Degree from the University of Oklahoma. He proudly
served his country in the US Army for 23 years earning a
bronze star before retiring as a 1st Sergeant in 1991.
He loved his family and enjoyed playing and teasing all
those around him. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed being
outdoors casting a line or playing golf with his friends.
He enjoyed gardening, landscaping and tinkering around the
house. Art’s family and friends will remember him for his
ability to make them laugh.
Art was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers,
Joseph, David, George and John; father-in-law, Matthew Hack,
Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years Doris; son,
Andrew Joseph Anderson and wife Melissa of OKC, OK; one
daughter, Leslie Anderson and husband Tyler Haley of
Noble,OK ; one brother, Peter Francisco and wife Annie of
Guam; three sisters, Evelyn Francisco of Camas, WA, Patricia
Mendiola of Guam, Cecilia Navarro and husband Ernie of Guam;
Brother in-law Matthew Hack Jr., and wife Connie of Norman,
Ok and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will begin for friends at 6:30 PM on Friday,
August 2, 2013 and will be followed by a Prayer Vigil
beginning at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Havenbrook Funeral
Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM Saturday,
August 3, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 N. Porter
Ave., Norman.
Interment will follow at Hack Cemetery in Millerton, Oklahoma.
