Graveside Services for Mrs. Faye Hunkapillar, 78, of Tishomingo will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 2:00 p. m. at the Hochatown Cemetery in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Mrs. Hunkapillar passed away on May 16, 2016 at her home.

 

Faye was born on January 3, 1938 in Broken Bow to Marion Nix and Adell (Turknett) Nix. She graduated from Broken Bow High School and married Leon Hunkapillar in October of 1963. She worked for several years at the Eastside Grocery in Tishomingo and also as a C. M. A. at a local nursing home. At one time, she had attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

 

Mrs. Hunkapillar was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leon on March 27, 2016; her daughter, Patricia Stephens and her brother, Bobby Nix.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda McDaniel of Guthrie, Oklahoma; her sons, Danny Hunkapillar of Tishomingo and Jerry Studdard of Lone Grove, Oklahoma;  her brother, W. D. Nix of Broken Bow; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

 

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
