Alan Wilson, age 62 of Norman, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2016, at the Norman Regional Hospital.
Alan Ray Wilson was born December 6, 1954 in Bakersfield, CA, the 2nd of 4 children, and only son of Calvin Ray and Ruby Joan (Huggins) Wilson. Alan spent his early childhood in Bakersfield, before traveling throughout California and Oregon for a few years. As a young man, Alan learned the value of hard work, picking potatoes and grapes and working the fields. The Wilson family eventually settled in the Goldsby/Washington area. By trade, Alan was a plumber, and spent many years working for Southwest Systems. When not working, he enjoyed woodworking and building with his hands, he was always ready for a bucket of KFC or some Taco Bell. Alan looked forward to family camping trips at Ft. Cobb Lake and he was never happier than when he was fishing! He will be dearly missed!
He was proceeded in death by: His daughter, Amy Wilson and His parents, Calvin and Ruby Huggins.
Alan leaves behind: His son, Chris Wilson and wife Amber, and his grandson, Hunter, All of Norman; 3 sisters, Brenda Ross and husband Thomas of Washington, Donna Howard of Grove, OK and Pam White of Florida; Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March
2, 2017, at the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral
