(Permission Granted)

This is the story of Gary Don Wade of Washington, Ok who passed away on March 16, 2017. Gary was a wonderful man that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Our “Papa,” as he liked to be called by his grandchildren, was an amazing husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

Gary's story starts on January 8, 1952 the oldest child to Murray and Bernadine Wade, who later added Jim and Patti to their family. Gary was born in Phoenix, Arizona. On his eighth birthday he moved to Southeast Oklahoma. He was baptized in a creek in Kiamichi Mountains when he was 12 years old. He graduated with the Madill High School class of 1970 where he met his wife of 44 years, Susan. In 1971 Gary joined the National Guard where he served for six years.

The couple moved to Ada, Oklahoma where Gary and Susan welcomed their two sons, Kyle and Craig. Gary worked at General Tire & Rubber Co. before moving to Moore, Oklahoma, working for Horn Equipment. He retired from Horn Equipment in 2015, after 33 years of employment.

Gary loved being at the lake making memories, camping, fishing, and hunting. Anytime spent on his boat fishing was time well spent. The special memories were made when he would take his grandkids on "guided fishing tours". When not at the lake, Gary wanted to be at his hunting lease aka "The Hilton", in Stuart, OK with his family and friends.

Gary and Susan are members of First Baptist Church in Washington, OK. He was preceded in death by his father, Murray Wade and father in-law, Rex Rowe. Loved ones that will miss Gary until they meet him again are his wife, Susan Wade of Washington, OK; his two sons and their families, Kyle and Lacey Wade and their children, Kyley and Emma of Washington, OK and Craig and Carla Wade and their children, Ashtyn and Jace of Gunter, TX; his mother, Bernadine Wade and mother-in-law, Louise Rowe of Madill, OK; his brother, Jim Wade and family of Bridge Creek, OK; his sister, Patti Sterling and her family of Durant, OK and his sister-in-law, Patricia Moore of Madill, OK. And on goes Gary's legacy.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 20, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Washington, OK. Interment will be at the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Washington FBC-Benevolence Fund.
