Dolores Jean Taylor died January 1, 2019 in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years 6 months 19 days. Her celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, January 4, 2019 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel with Reverend Justin Blankenship officiating.

Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Jean was born June 13, 1940 in Criner, Oklahoma to Travis and Inice (McGee) Keeler. She was raised in the Washington area, graduating in 1958. On June 7, 1958, Jean and James Richard Dale Taylor were united in marriage in Okemah, Oklahoma. Richard taught school in Ponca City before moving the family to Austin, Indian and then back to Oklahoma. During this time Jean was a homemaker, raising her children. Later she became a Travel Agent, and loved to travel. Jean and Richard enjoyed their time traveling in their fifth-wheel through 46 of the 50 states. She loved to read, but her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandchildren. Jean and Richard both were servants of God, and loved their church family. They were members of the Purcell Pentecostal Holiness Church, which later became Landmark Church.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Inice Keeler; her husband of 53 years, Richard Taylor; and her son, Brian Keith Taylor.

Survivors include her daughter, Lori Hardcastle and husband, Jim; 5 grandchildren, Steven Dale Taylor and wife, Ashlee, Chelsea Thomas and husband, Kevin, Cierra Dawn Taylor, Kyle James Hardcastle, Taylor Ann Hardcastle; 5 great grandchildren, Kinlee Taylor, Case Taylor, Zachary Thomas, Dart Thomas, Arwen Thomas; sister, Karen Jennings and husband, Doyle; and many other relatives and friends.
