Holly Stokes, age 63 of Purcell, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018.
Holly Atkinson was born June 30, 1955 in Purcell, OK, the oldest of 3 children and only daughter born to John Hollis Atkinson and Daisy Nell (Bearden) Atkinson. Holly was raised in Lindsay and attended Lindsay schools, graduating in 1973. Holly worked as an analyst in the oil & gas industry for several years. Her greatest joy, however was being a mother and grandmother. Holly was the proud mother of daughters, Katie and Nicole and an amazing grandmother to 5 grandchildren, Madison, Ryan, Faith, John David and Archer. Holly had a wonderful sense of humor and was always laughing, and faced her illness with grace and courage. She was the rock of her family, always positive and always a lady. Holly cherished her family and friends and was always ready for another road trip with her beloved Eddy. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by:
Her father, Hollis Atkinson in December of 2017.
Holly is survived by:
Her daughters, Katie Hill and husband Cory of Norman and
Nicole Blair and husband David of Newalla;
Her mother, Daisy Stephens and husband Gib of Cole, OK;
Two brothers, Tolar Atkinson and wife Trina of Purcell and
Tobey Atkinson of Purcell;
5 grandchildren, Madison, Ryan, Faith, John David and Archer and
Her beloved, Eddy Sasnett;
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M.
Monday, October 1, 2018, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will
follow at the Washington Cemetery.
