Mary Sue Price, 78, of Cole, died Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in Oklahoma City. The daughter of Silas Cornelius Vaughn and Margie Mae (Holland) Vaughn, she was born February 14, 1941 in Purcell, Oklahoma.
She married Russell Price on July 30, 1958 in Sacramento, California. She worked for many years alongside her husband in their jewelry repair shop. Mary Sue was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Cole. She worked for many years with the McClain County Election Board as a poll worker. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and watching cooking shows. Mary Sue was a great cook and everyone said she made the best dressing and chocolate gravy. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Price; and two brothers, Bill Vaughn and Gene Vaughn.
Mary Sue is survived by one son, Ricky Price and his wife, Sandra, of Blanchard; one daughter, Sheila Werneburg and her husband, Ray, of Blanchard; five grandchildren, Russell Price of Piedmont, Sherri Price of Oklahoma City, Dustin Werneburg of Atoka, Cody Werneburg and his wife, Kendra, of Blanchard and Ethan Werneburg of Blanchard; seven great grandchildren, Gamble Price, Brooke Carter, Trey Johnson, Aidan Werneburg, Addyson Werneburg, Asher Werneburg and Sadie Werneburg; two brothers, Jackie Vaughn and his wife, Carolyn, of Washington and Curt Vaughn and his wife, Grace, of Woody Chapel; one sister-in-law, Pat Wilson of Noble; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Cole.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
