Jimmy Don Price, age 73 of Cole, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016. He went to be with his Lord and Savior in his home surrounded by his family and friends.

Jimmy was born May 11, 1942 in Cole, Oklahoma, the oldest of 3 children born to General Frost “Bus” Price and Lillie Maudine (Garrison) Price. He grew up in the Cole Community, and later graduated from Dibble High School. Jimmy married the love of his life, Evelene Andrews on November 19, 1965 in Dibble, Oklahoma. Together they raised 3 children, daughter, Jimmie Dawn and sons, Todd and Travis. Jimmy worked as a Shipping Supervisor for Unit Parts in Oklahoma City for 9 years, before taking a job with Storm Cellars Inc. installing storm cellars. Four years later, in 1980, he partnered with his brother-in-law, Dale Worley, and started his own business, Quality Storm Shelters. He retired after nearly 20 years. Also during this time, Jimmy owned and operated the Cole General Store, from 1989-1996. Jimmy lived his life doing what he loved, and spent many happy days, fishing and bird hunting with his sons and friends. He enjoyed camping and gardening and cock fighting. He was an avid football fan and especially loved watching his grandsons, and the OU Sooners. Jim was a hard worker and a great provider. A great example for his family. Jim’s wish was to be a fisherman in heaven, to find a good spot to take his family fishing when they meet again. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His loving wife, Evelene Andrews Price; Beloved daughter, Jimmie Dawn Price Edwards; Parents, General Frost “Bus” Price and Lillie Maudine Garrison Price; An infant child; And two grandsons, Zachary Price and Jesse Price.

Jimmy leaves behind: His sons, Todd Price and wife Kari of Cole and Travis Price of Washington; Brothers, Jerry Price and wife Marcia of Washington and Carl Price of Burleson, TX; 8 grandchildren, Cody Price of Slaughtersville, Jacob Price of Cole, Jordan Edwards and wife Caitlyn of Cole, Joshua Price of Cole, Kasilyn Price of Cole, Suzyn Price of Slaughtersville, Perry Edwards of Cole and Ryder Edwards of Cole; 1 great grandchild on the way; His son-in-law, Rodney Edwards of Cole and A host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 P.M. Tuesday March 1, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Wednesday March 2, 2016, at the Washington Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Goldsby Baptist Church. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
