Vera Lorene Mitchell, age 74 of Wayne, OK passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020.
She was born July 22, 1945 in Washington, OK, the youngest of 10 children born to Dave and Martha Ann (Dover) Mitchell. She was raised in Lexington and attended Lexington Schools. Vera married young, and was the proud mother of 4 children; daughter, Dana and sons, David, Bill and Chance. She worked at Gilt Edge Dairy in Norman for several years and later as a Loan Clerk at McClain Bank. Vera was a big History buff and enjoyed traveling and seeing the country. She loved a good western and anything and everything John Wayne. She was very witty and had a great sense of humor, and she wasn’t afraid to share a good laugh, sometimes even at her own expense. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed!

Siblings, Dovie Madden, Laverne Croslin Monroe Mitchell, Dave Mitchell Jr.,
Fred Mitchell, John Mitchell and Robert Mitchell

Bill Shea and wife Hazel, Lexington, OK
Chance Shea, Edmond, OK
Two Sisters, Lillie Bruehl, Edmond, OK
Hazel Ille and husband Bernard, Lexington, OK
Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 13, 2020, at the Washington Cemetery.
