Lila JoAnn Martin, 78, of Blanchard, died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at her home. The daughter of Kelcy Arlington and Carolee Faye (Farrin) Dodson, she was born October 27, 1935 in Oklahoma City. JoAnn was a member of the Triumph Family Worship in Oklahoma City. She enjoyed crocheting, watching Star Trek and western movies. She loved babies and making people laugh and she always had a story to tell. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernie Ace Martin; her great grandson, Ace Harper; her sister, Gayle Dodson; her sister-in-law, Joann Dodson; her brothers, Marx Dodson, Jerry Dodson, Bruce Dodson, and Gary Lynn Dodson; and two sons-in-laws, Bobby Cody and James Berend.
She is survived by her four daughters, Claudia Cody of Texas; Jane Robinson and her husband, Ellwood, of Blanchard, Twila Berend of Blanchard, and Marsha Cole and her husband, Darrell, of Lexington; her two sons, Teddy Martin and his wife, Kelly, of Tecumseh and Kelcy Martin and his wife, Debbie, of Noble; twenty three grandchildren and their spouses; fifty three great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Rita Dodson of Oklahoma City and Yvonna Dodson of Moore; her two brothers, Donnie Dodson and his wife, Susie, of Moore and Danny Dodson and his wife, Connie, of Ponca City; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Triumph Family Worship in Oklahoma City. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery, Washington, Oklahoma.
