Michael Madden, age 54 of Goldsby, passed away Saturday June 6, 2015, at his home. Michael Derick Madden was born October 14, 1960 in Okla. City, 1 of 7 children born to Amos Jeremiah Madden and Ruth Leona (Dover) Madden. He was raised in the Washington area and attended Washington Schools, graduating in 1978. Mike began working on the assembly line at GM, retiring after more than 27 years on the job. For a short time he worked at O.U. before beginning his second career with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, currently working out of Division 3 in Purcell. Mike married Brenda Elliott in 1993, and they have called Goldsby home. Mike cherished family and was most especially proud to be “Papa” to his 5 grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed deer hunting and times spent around the camp fire. He was a loving husband and father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: His father, Amos Madden and 2 brothers, Ricky and Daryl.
Michael leaves behind: His wife, Brenda, of the home; His mother, Ruth Madden of Washington; Children, Michelle Madden, Derick Madden, Emily Madden, Maggie Foster and Bobby Millican 5 grandchildren, Gavin, Braedyn, Caitlyn, McKenzie and Liam; His sister, Freida Boettler of Goldsby; 3 brothers, Ronny Madden and wife Judy of Goldsby, Scott Madden and wife Connie of Washington and Brad Madden of Goldsby; Several nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday June 10, 2015, at
the Goldsby Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery
under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
