Marie Madden, age 98 of Washington, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015, at the Westbrook Gardens in Purcell. Ida Marie Madden was born May 4, 1917 in Washington, OK, 1 of 12 children born to Thomas Lee Madden and Louie Mable (Brown) Madden. Marie was raised in Washington and attended Washington schools. She married Rex Madden on May 15, 1934 and together they raised 7 children. Marie worked tirelessly as a homemaker, caring and providing for her family. She was a gifted quilter and made many quilts for her family and friends. She was a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Rex Madden; 2 sons, Ralph Madden and an infant, Alfred; Her parents, Thomas and Louie Madden and Siblings, Clara Mayo, C.T. Madden, Walter Madden, Thelma Madden, Ruby Schrader, Eunice Dover, Esther Madden, Bessie Dover and Infant, John Archie Madden.

Marie leaves behind: Her daughters, Dorothy Russell of Norman, Virgie Andrews of Goldsby and Anna Goodin and husband Oliver of Washington; Daughter-in-law Rosemary Madden of Noble Her sons, Jimmy Madden and wife Dixie of Goldsby, Larry Madden of Purcell, and Michael Madden and wife Judy of Norman; 2 sisters, Lois Schrader of Purcell and Ruth Putnam of Lindsay; 22 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 18, 2015, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little of Purcell. Send online condolences at wilsonlittle.com
