Barbara Madden, age 61, of Purcell passed away on December 6, 2023.
Barbara Dianne (Albert) Madden was born on October 2, 1962 to Frank James and Millie May (Andrews) Albert in Purcell.
She attended school in Washington and that is where she met the love of her life, Roger Madden. The couple married on October 24, 1980 and got to celebrate 43 amazing years together.
Together the couple raised three children; Kyle, Alicia, and Jerrod. Barbara worked within the home, taking care of the children and Roger.
Barbara had a “green thumb” and always had an immaculate flower garden. She loved flowers of all colors, types and kinds.
Her favorite hobby though was her grandchildren. Barbara absolutely loved being “Nanny”. She enjoyed going to all the ballgames and taking the grands shopping. The grandkid’s motto has been, “Let’s go to Nanny’s- because she never tells us no!” Barbara cherished fishing and camping with Roger. Every day when Kyle and Jerrod were younger, she would take the boys fishing, to the pool and then to Sonic for her Route 44 Cherry Vanilla Coke.
Barbara was a firecracker. She was onery but so loving, she was a practical joker and had the most fabulous sense of humor. She was loved so very much and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Frank Albert; her daughter, Alicia Madden; her brother, Steven Albert; and her grandson, Jace Madden.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Roger Madden; her sons, Kyle Madden and wife Leia of Purcell, and Jerrod Madden and wife Emily of Purcell; her brother Timmy Albert and wife Michelle of Wayne; and her sisters, Joanna Hailey and husband James of Noble, Carrie Aday and husband Mark of Washington, Liz Selman and husband Jerry of Washington, Ladonna Aday and husband Chris of Washington, and Sarah Smith and husband Paul of Sherman, Tx.; her 4 grandchildren, Blake Madden, Beau Madden, Kallie Madden, Mylee Madden; 3 step grandchildren, along with a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be Monday, December 11, 2023 @ 2:00 pm at Washington Cemetery. Send online condolences to www.wilsonlittle.com
