Graveside services for Gloria Jean Mottinger, 60, of Purcell were held Oct. 26, 2005 at Washington Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Clagg officiating. Services were under the direction of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Mrs. Mottinger died Oct. 24, 2005 at Norman Regional Hospital.
She was born Sept. 26, 1945 in Alliance, Neb., the daughter of Cecil Edward and Mildred (Marker) Johns. She was reared in Nebraska, Wyoming, Del City and Midwest City. She attended school in Del City and at Mid-America Technology Center. She had lived in Purcell for the past six months, coming from Phoenix, Ariz.
On June 5, 1985, she married Randall Mottinger in Mesa, Ariz.
Mrs. Mottinger owned and operated Jean’s Housekeeping. She was a bingo paymaster working at Fort McDowell Casino at Fountain Hill, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Johns and three sisters, June Johnson, Ruth Peterson and Virginia Steward.
Survivors include her husband, Randall Mottinger, of the home; her mother, Mildred Johns of Tulsa; two sons, Tim Lee of Lexington and Paul Lee and his wife, Shani, of Noble; two daughters, Mollie Alzedan of Tulsa and Jaime Mottinger of Tuscan, Ariz.; brothers and sisters, Joe Johns of El Reno, Sandra Bullman and Peggy Fisher, both of Tulsa, Connie Erdman of Nebraska and Bonnie Connely of Moore; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, the family has designated the National Cancer Society.
