Betty Louise Klepper, age 82 of Washington, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 in Norman. She was born June 20, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was one of four children born to Rufus Eschol Dowdle and Mittie (Johnson) Dowdle. Betty grew up in the Purcell area and graduated from Purcell High School in 1950. Five years later she married the love of her life, a farm boy from Wheatland, Herman Klepper. They were married on September 2, 1955 in OKC. After they were married Betty and Herman moved to OKC and raised two sons, Mark and Keith. They lived in OKC for the next 16 years before moving to a small farm in Washington, OK in 1971. Betty worked some outside of the home but mainly was a homemaker. After moving to Washington, she was a faithful member of the Washington First Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she and Herman enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing. They especially enjoyed going to Lake Texhoma and striper fishing. Betty loved her children and grandchildren and family get-togethers. After Herman passed away, this past year she enjoyed volunteering at the Washington Elementary School. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by: Husband, Herman Klepper on March 9, 2013; Two sisters, Wanda Robertson and Jean Lee;

She is survived by: Two sons, Mark Klepper and wife Debora of Washington, Keith Klepper of Dallas, Three grandchildren, Taleena Manning and Husband Chris of Blanchard, Chris Klepper of Washington, Larissa Brown and husband Kurt of Washington; Three great grandchildren, Easton and Dawson Brown, and Mikalya Manning; Many nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Washington. Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell
