Charlotte Ann Jeffries, age 67 of Washington, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013. Charlotte was born May 3, 1945 in Beckley, WV, the oldest of 6 children born to John Ephriam Jeffrey and Flora Mabel (Bartley) Jeffrey. She grew up a minister’s daughter and later would marry a minister; her best friend and first love, Lewie Junior Jeffries, on June 15, 1962. They lived in various states during their ministry; Ohio, Tennessee, Missouri and Oklahoma, before settling near Washington. Together they raised 4 daughters; Kimberly, Denise, Robin and Peggy. During this time, Charlotte also worked as an administrative assistant for the City of Norman, later retiring from the University of Oklahoma. The past 4 years, she has worked at the Goldsby Tag Office. Charlotte loved to travel and was a proud member of the Mobile Villa RV Club. She cherished her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She looked forward to family birthday parties and celebrating the holidays. Charlotte was very gifted with her hands and especially enjoyed crocheting, embroidery work and quilting for her family. She loved the Lord and served Him faithfully throughout her life. She was currently a member of the Skyridge Free Will Baptist Church in Noble. She will be dearly missed.
