Alford Rex Hyde was born on June 23, 1948 in Goldsby, Oklahoma, the 8th of 10 children born to Jessie Franklin Hyde and Bessie Alice (Madden) Hyde. He grew up in the Washington area and graduated with the Warrior Class of 1966. Shortly after graduating high school, Alford was introduced to the jewelry industry. It was in this industry that he discovered a great passion of his, and something that he thoroughly enjoyed doing. When he wasn’t working, he and Lou enjoyed traveling to trade shows and craft fairs selling jewelry. He could also be found fishing or in his garden. One of his greatest accomplishments in life was becoming a proud father to his two beautiful daughters, Kimberly and Andrea. His family meant more to him than anything, and he cherished every moment with them. He was a caring man, who never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Alford was also a man of great faith. He not only read scripture, but he studied it daily. He was a proud father, brother, and grandpa. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Jessie and Bessie Hyde; his sisters, Alice Hyde and Joann Mote.
