Lloyd Hendrix, age 74, of Goldsby passed away unexpectedly on October 26, 2023.
Lloyd Jonathon Hendrix was born on April 12, 1949 in Washington, Oklahoma, the 6th of 10 children born to Daniel Birk Hendrix and Flora (Nelson) Hendrix. He was raised in the Washington/Goldsby area and graduated with the Warrior Class of 1967.
Shortly after graduating high school, he followed his brothers working for various plumbing companies until he opened his own plumbing company in the Newcastle area. When the economy got bad in the 80’s he joined forces with his brothers at H&H Plumbing the combination made the family business even stronger. He was driven and dedicated to working hard every single day. Lloyd took great pride in his work and being able to help others.
He was also an avid outdoorsman. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, farming, and hunting. And when he wasn’t outside, he could be found watching old westerns, cheering on the Sooners and watching all of his grandkids playing sports. Being a man of many talents, Lloyd was also a self-taught musician and he learned to play the fiddle by ear. Lloyd was a simple man at heart, and truly enjoyed the simple things in life. He was very loving, generous, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Lloyd was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!
