Bobie Leroy Frye, age 84 of Ada, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021. Bobie was born August 19, 1936 on the Four Corners Indian Reservation near Center, OK. He was the only child born to William Curtis Frye. Bobie was raised in Oklahoma City and schooled at a Boys Home, and he learned the hard way, in how to care for himself. He served in the United States Navy for a short time, before marrying Frankie G. Travis. They made their home in the McAlester area where together they raised 4 children, sons, Frank and Bobie Troy and daughters, Angela and Donna. Bobie logged countless hours on the open road as a truck driver in the oil industry. When he wasn’t working, he liked doing what he wanted, and it was mostly just piddling. He often joked about fast cars and fast women and he loved both. Bobie was an overcomer, and made the best of everything he had. He was a good father and grandfather, and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!
