(Permission Granted)

Cooper Van Deaton, age 31, passed away April 7, 2020. Known by family and friends, as Coop, he was born December 8, 1988 in Norman.

His parents were Jimmy Michael Deaton and Mary Ann Phillips. Coop was raised primarily in Smithville, and attended school there. Always the jokester, Coop was always the fun one in the group and had the unique gift of making people laugh. He married young, to Natalie, and they welcomed two sons, Cameron and Bentley. Coop eventually settled in Vandervoort, Arkansas and worked for a time as a handyman for Cossatot River School District. He later married Elizabeth, and together they welcomed son Tyler. Coop’s whole world revolved around his boys, and he lived each day for them. He was an avid outdoorsman, and spent every moment he could either fishing or hunting. Coop was pretty much a roamer, and always walked his own path in life. He was a vibrant soul, and he left us too soon.   He was a wonderful and fun-loving father and son, brother, uncle and true friend. Rest in peace Coop; you are dearly missed!
