Joshua McKoy Blalock age 26 of Oklahoma City, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in OKC. Josh fought a battle with Cystic Fibrosis since he was a young boy.

He was born June 2, 1990 in Oklahoma City. He was the oldest of five sons born to Frederick Blalock III and Traci (Dowdy) Blalock. Josh grew up in Choctaw and graduated from American Academy National Homeschool in 2008. Josh never let his sickness stop him from working and living his life to the fullest. He had worked for Sonic, for several years he worked at Adfitech and for the past two 1/2 years he worked for NOVAD Management Consulting. On July 14, 2012 in OKC, Josh married the love of his life, Amber Jean Wells. They made their home in the OKC and Moore areas. Josh was a faithful Christian and was a member of Hillcrest Family Worship Center in S. OKC. He loved music and enjoyed singing and playing the Guitar and Drums at his church. He was the lead guitarist in his band "Un2the1". Josh was an avid outdoorsman. He liked spending time hunting, fishing, and camping with his wife and friends. One of his favorite spots was at Draper Lake. He was a collector of Coke memorabilia, he had an outgoing personality, he loved to laugh, tell jokes and make other people laugh. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, a loving son and a great brother.

He was preceded in death by: Grandparents, Rick Blalock, Joyce Haley, Murphy Haley and Reginald Dowdy; Infant brother, Jonah Michael Blalock.

He is survived by: Wife, Amber Blalock of the home. Parents, Eric and Traci Blalock of Norman, In-laws, Kory and Audrey Wells of Norman, Paternal grandmother, Sandra Kay Dunn of Moore, Three brothers, Jake Blalock and wife Jessica of Moore, Josiah Blalock and wife Stephanie of MWC, Jared Blalock of Choctaw, Two brothers-in-law, Kyle Wells and wife Megan of Edmond, Kristian Wells of Norman, One niece, Charlee Wells of Edmond, One nephew, Holden Wells of Edmond, Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Feb, 23, 2017 at Hillcrest Family Worship Center in OKC.

Interment will be at Washington Cemetery in Washington, OK.
