Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Kerr Armstrong, age 90, of Norman, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 16, 2013 in The Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman with Pastor Harriette Leigh officiating.

The Armstrong family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home. 

Frances was born August 6, 1922 on the Kerr Family Farm three miles west of Washington, Oklahoma one of eight children born to William Alfred and Mattie Kerr.  She passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Norman.   Frances was united in marriage to Tommy H. Armstrong in 1939.

Frances graduated from Washington High School and the University of Oklahoma.  Frances was a member of the McFarlin Memorial Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Family was everything to Frances.  She was always there to comfort or cheer on those she loved so deeply.

Frances was preceded in death by her son, Michael Bruce Armstrong in 1965; her husband, Tommy H. Armstrong in 1999; her parents; two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her beloved children, Tommy L. Armstrong of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Sherryl K. Sandersfeld of Norman, and Elizabeth McCoy of Norman; three grandchildren, Katherine Cash of Collinsville, Michael Sandersfeld of Oklahoma City, and Chris Armstrong of Euless, Texas; three great-grandsons, Dustin Cash of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Charles Dale Sandersfeld and Michael Christopher Sandersfeld of Oklahoma City.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory for Frances Kerr Armstrong to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

Arrangements for Frances and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
