Virginia Andrews, age 76 of Washington, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017, at the Norman Regional Hospital.

Fannie Virginia Idlett was born April 14, 1941 in Lexington, the 8th of 15 children born to W.T. “Bill” Idlett and Lela Elizabeth (Farrow) Idlett. She was raised in Lexington area, and learned at an early age, the value of hard work and responsibility. She married her best friend and life partner, Charles Henry Andrews, and together they raised 3 sons, Larry, Chuck and Bruce. They first made their home in Lexington before settling back in Washington. Virginia worked some odd and end jobs throughout the years, but her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. She worked tirelessly as a homemaker, caring and providing for Henry and her boys. Virginia was a master gamer. She especially liked crossword puzzles and playing bingo. She was a gifted singer, and looked forward to large family get togethers just playing and singing. Virginia was a woman of great faith, and a longtime member of the Goldsby Baptist Church. She was a remarkable mother and grandmother, a loving sister, aunt and a friend to many. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Henry Andrews; Her parents, Bill and Lela Idlett; Siblings, Albert Eugene Idlett, E.C. “Billy” Idlett, Sally Ashby, Carrie Quinn, Orville Idlett, Alice Rhodes, Loyd Idlett, Laverne Cooksey and Faye Schuller.

Virginia is survived by: Her boys, Larry Andrews and wife Kim of Mustang, Bruce Andrews of Washington and Chuck Andrews of Washington; 3 sisters, Mary Cooksey and husband Reese of OKC, Doris Compton and JoAnn Parker, both of Wanette; 2 brothers, Andy Idlett and wife Shirley of OKC and Bobby Idlett and wife Sandy of OKC; 7 grandchildren, Casey Andrews and wife Tomee, Mackey Andrews, Cayden Andrews, Ethan Andrews, Kristan Andrews, Olivia Short and Jaycee Short; 3 great grandchildren, Tye Barnett, Wendee Andrews and Tegan Short; Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the Washington Cemetery.
