Don Darrell White age 81 of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Purcell. He was born on September 10, 1933, in Rosedale, OK. He was the oldest of two sons born to Robert Minder White and Maude Belle Means. Don grew up a country boy and graduated from Rosedale High School in 1950. In 1953 he enlisted into the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged in 1956, he returned home to Oklahoma and continued service to his country in the Air National Guard Reserves where he retired after 22 years. Don worked at Tinker AFB in Midwest City as an aircraft mechanic for 33 years, retiring in 1990. On April 22, 1967 in Purcell, Don married the love of his life, Margaret Mary Owens. They made their home in Lexington and lived there all of their married life. Throughout his life, Don enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and nephews. He was an avid gardener, domino player and an antique tractor enthusiast. For years his hobby was working on and restoring old tractors. He also enjoyed staying at home watching old westerns and other old shows on tv.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Robert and Maude White; Brother, Dean White;

He is survived by: Wife, Margaret White of Purcell; Three nephews, Mike White and wife Nancy of Wayne, Robert White and wife Stephanie of Pauls Valley, David White and wife Tammy of Pauls Valley, One niece, Deana White of Rosedale, Several great nieces and nephews, And a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, at Rosedale Baptist Church in Rosedale, OK. Interment will be at the Rosedale Cemetery. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
