W.K. “Noosty” Wallace, age 96 of Rosedale, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Norman Regional Hospital.

Waldren Kendell Wallace was born December 15, 1921 on the family homestead near Rosedale. He was the 7th of 8 children born to E.L. and Oma Wallace. He was raised in Rosedale and attended school there. In November of 1942, W.K. answered the call of service and joined the United States Army. He served his country with pride, distinction and honor in World War II, serving in both the Central and South Pacific and in Saipan. The day after Pearl Harbor, W.K. married his best friend and the love of his life, Ruby Catherine Bourassa. They made their home in Rosedale where together they raised a son, Jerry. W.K., known to nearly everyone as “Noosty”, made his living in construction until 1960. At this time, he opened garage and welding shop in Rosedale; a building that still stands today. Noosty stayed busy doing something every day. He loved his work and his customers. He later pursued a passion for restoring Model A cars, and his work was widespread, even receiving mail for the “Model A Man”. Noosty loved his family, his community and his country. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and a true friend to many. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by:
His wife, Ruby Wallace;
Parents, E.L. and Oma Wallace;
3 sisters, Elsie, Vivian and Delores and
4 brothers, Bill, Albert, Steve and Cordell (Mig)

W.K. leaves behind:
