Pearl T (Neasbitt) Russell was born on March 18, 1911 in Gordonville, Texas to Jessie Price and Katie Lavada (Nabors) Neasbitt. She was raised in the Gordonville area.
Pearl and James Edgar Russell were married on March 17, 1928 in Gordonville. They owned and operated Russell's Grocery in Rosedale, OK from 1952 to 1962. Pearl also worked in the food service at the University of Oklahoma from 1963 to 1976. James and Pearl moved to Purcell, OK in 1990 and James passed away in January of 1992. In 1996 Pearl moved to Alex, OK to be near her daughter.
Pearl passed away on April 08, 2003. Her funeral services were held on April 11, 2003 at the Purcell First Baptist Church with Rev. Cletus Lee officiating.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Eddie B. Baker and husband Buddy of Alex, OK. Three sons; Jim Russell and wife Judy and Ken Russell and wife Adonna of Oklahoma City and Bill Russell of Pineville, OR. 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Mildren Roberts of Whitesboro, TX and Ruby Mench of Pottsboro, TX and a sister in-law, Marie Nesbitt of Denison, TX.
Interment was at Rosedale Cemetery under the direction of Yoakum-Damet Funeral Home.
