James Edgar Russell Jr was born to James Edgar Sr and Pearl (Neasbitt) Russell on June 2, 1944 in Wayne, OK.
James attended school Wayne, OK and graduated from the Wayne High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy on February 3, 1966. He served his country as a Corpsman, and received an honorable discharge on February 2, 1968.
James married the love of his life, Judith Ann Villines, on February 15, 1974 in Oklahoma City. They shared 46 years of precious memories together. They made their home in the Oklahoma City area for 40 years.
James started his career with the U.S. Marshall Service in 1991 flying Boeing 727, 737, MD80 and Sabre Liner Beech HS 125 and he retired as a Captain in 2013.
After retiring James and Judith moved to Lake Texoma. They enjoyed fishing and sitting on the porch looking at the beautiful view. James also enjoyed visiting with his brother Ken, tinkering in his shop and watching the birds fly by. His passions included flying different aircraft and boats.
James passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 in Fort Gibson, OK.
He is preceded in death by this parents, James and Pearl Russell. His brother Willie Carl Russell, and his brother in law, Wesley Luther Baker.
James is survived by his wife Judith. His son, Jason Robert and wife Keri June of Weatherford, TX. His daughter, Tiffani Ann Perry and husband Darren of Fort Gibson, OK. His grandchildren, Elle Ann and Kate June Russell of Weatherford, OK and Noah and Holli Perry of Fort Gibson, OK. His brother Kenneth Ray Russell and wife Adonna of Kingston, OK and his sister Eddie Bee Baker of Alex, OK. Along with his extended family and many friends.
A graveside service Celebrating the Life of James Edgar was held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 2pm at the Rosedale Cemetery in Rosedale, OK with Dr. Henry Petree officiating.
The service and burial was entrusted to Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home, Fort Gibson, OK.
